Calm Club Intro workshop

Through stories, creativity and games, children explore thoughts and emotions and discover simple calming tools they can use in everyday life.

Workshops can be delivered either for families to attend together or for children only, with a feedback session for parents afterwards.

Feeling angry, sad, or scared is part of being human.

The challenge is that many children are never shown what they can do when those feelings become too big.

Calm Club gives children practical skills in a way that feels natural and fun.

Instead of sitting through a lesson, they discover calming strategies through stories, games, creative activities and conversation. They learn by doing, and because they enjoy the experience, the lessons stay with them.

What happens during Calm Club Intro

During the session families will:

  • Discover Chit-Chat the Talking Hat, the story that inspired Calm Club.
  • Explore thoughts and feelings in a fun and age-appropriate way
  • Practise calming techniques such as Bubble Breathing
  • Create their own Calm Character
  • Take home a Calm Guide with the calming steps they learned

What children and families take away

After Calm Club, families leave with:

  • A better understanding of their inner world
  • Practical calming tools they can use together
  • A shared language for talking about feelings
  • A personal reminder of their new skills

The workshop is designed to feel fun and creative while giving families tools they can use in everyday life.

What situation best describes you?

Big feelings can be challenging for children and the adults supporting them. Calm Club gives families dedicated time to explore thoughts and emotions together in a simple, relaxed and playful way.

Parents don’t need to have all the answers. During the workshop, you will discover simple ways to support your child and create moments of connection around feelings.
